Let's start with a alternative currency... 1 Pirate = 1 Euro?

Are you serious?

Lets werkt reeds jaren met een complementaire digitale munt, alleen kan je die niet gebruiken om te consumeren.

Let's focus on what we are supposed to do as a party, don't you think?

both serious and joking.
It could be a tool with real world value as well as a eye-catcher for upcoming elections.

Yes as a party.... we create a Pirate Currency as a political act. To promote the Pirate concepts.

A political act? As easy as that? Like printing flyers?

There are plenty of alternative currencies out there, and people who have more knowledge about this interesting idea. I'm thinking about https://timebank.cc/, http://en.duniter.org/, etc. And I could also talk about the local currencies such as the Talent in Louvain-la-Neuve (pirates from Crew BW helped to launch this one), Le Valeureux in Liège, etc.
I'm not sure for what do you want to create such a money, but I would either join an existing group or contact them and see what you can do. But creating a currency from scratch is not faesible in my opinion...

Yes some have Euro's and dollars and many more....
We, Pirates have some goodwill .... but enough?
Do we have a budget? a strategy? enough voters to win next election?

A currency must be garanteed. How will you do that? How would you manage fake pirates?
