Building a stronger community (Deutsch)

MI mix irving Public Seen by 47

There was feedback from translators in a recent discussion that it would be great to be able to coordinate translation within languages as more of a team.

We decided to start by running a trial with the Deutsch/German team, to see what we can learn and improve.

What are the challenges and problems faced by translators, in particular the ones where communicating with other translators could really help?

Done. Thanks for making the story ticket.

Contact data should of course be visible only to logged in users to avoid spam crawlers. Maybe even hide the data behind an additional captcha?

There is one more topic I'd like to discuss related to translations. At the moment, even pages like "contact us" are translated. Which gives visitors the impression that they can write questions in their own language. But is there someone to reply in their questions too?

Maybe we should add an extra label in all languages except English, with a note that the form should be filled out in English only?

That's an excellent point @christianmairoll .

@hannahsalmon what do you think^ (since you're the one responding to some of these emails) ?
I reckon this sounds like a small job which would make a lot of sense.

What if we use private threads in a group to make our mail addresses or skype names "public"?

that would also work, good idea.

perhaps we could all edit the context panel, like a Wiki?

That would be fine.
