Hey folks, I think we need to start discussing what the process is for selecting the next FOSS4GNA location and organizers. Let start off by brainstorming.
Please respond to this email with the way you think the selection process should occur. Once we have all shared our ideas we can have a kick off meeting to discuss this and begin working on 2021.

Based on the velocity of the conversation and the poll it may be time to meet to write a selection process document and begin the process for 2021. I will send out a date selection next week, as this week is already crazy for me. Please feel free to share information about what you think should be included in the document through this thread.

@Jim Hughes the NA event under the LT umbrella went directly to venues for bids. In the case of Raleigh - the Raleigh community saw that they were on the short list and they actually back-doored some pressure to make their venue more desirable. DC, Minneapolis, and San Diego were definitely led by the community that wanted to bring the event there, but all in essence were bid-free and selected by being the only hand raised in the room. The international event has always been selected by competing LOC's.
