e-NABLE Brazilian Hub

EL Everton Lins Public Seen by 348

Dear group,
In Brazil the knowledge in foreign languages such as English is still a barrier to get people to know e-NABLE, today *** less than 3%*** of the population has fluency in English and as the Chapters are not connected, the information people get may vary and in most of the time is information about the local chapter project, and not about the community as a whole.

The idea of e-NABLE Brazilian HUB is to create a static website where we have all the important e-NABLE information translated into Portuguese and an area that points to the Brazilian chapters that are listed in Chapters and Libraries Map.

Nothing will change for the existing chapters, only for the users of prosthetics and potential volunteers, as they will find e-NABLE community-related content they will understand and use the information to reach chapters or start volunteering.

I already have a translator and a Webdesigner onboard for this project.

  • Do you see any drawback on this initiative?

  • Is it Ok to translate to Portuguese basic information from "Get Involved", "Resources" and "Devices" areas on http://enablingthefuture.org?

All the references to the original source will be informed on this website.
