The people of the world need a clear and viable vision of how humanity might thrive in a sustainable, prosperous and fulfilling way - in balance and intimate harmony with the natural world upon which all life depends. The Earth Holocracy Proposal presents a realistic blueprint - a set of viable design principles and broad, popularly-based strategies - for achieving economic decentralization and the clean-and-green transformation of human industry. Can we effectively make use of the Proposal's Volume Five: Economic Decentralization as a solid basis for collaboratively evolving a shared, explicit vision and collectively endorsed strategies?

The global Re-localization Movement provides a vast and inspiring compendium of resources and working models for economic decentralization. The Earth Holocracy Proposal highlights this fact in its Volume Five: Economic Decentralization. Drawing upon the socio-economic theories of P.R. Sarkar's Progressive Utilization Theory [PROUT], the Proposal also sets forth a clear and succinct blueprint for regional self reliance / three-tiered regional economies: please see the succinct articles 3 to 14 in Volume Five. The Proposal also addresses a key issue not usually raised within the 'Re-localization Movement': the key issue of Local Community Empowerment - that is, how Local and Regional Communities may go about democratically asserting their right to look after their own long-term well-being by means of effectively reclaiming their commons. The Earth Holocracy Proposal's Local Community Declaration of Rights is the Proposal's strategic tool with which Local and Regional Communities might assert their right to "reclaim the commons", to establish transparent, participatory, ecologically-sound and just public control and management of their key financial, infrastructural and natural wealth and resources. The decentralization of global civilization - so crucial to hopes for achieving sustainability and justice - can only be accomplished by means of complementary political and economic processes and strategies. Here's to realizing the whole system change now required in order to enjoy and bequeath to future generations a living world and a good life for all!
