CoHOP principles exactly described

Great article and I love that CoHOPs principals are in alignment with these suggestions. Definitely worth moving towards and I can't help feeling that for many it's going to take being forced - and the suffering that will come as a result - before they make these shifts. The more we can spread the word the better.

But can we please put articles like this under the category 'articles of interest'. Because that is exactly what it is. And we are ending up with too many very short discussions. It is not a discussion. Imagine yourself with a computer folder 'my documents' with 30 files in. Too many, so you have to categorise them. It is no good categorising them in 25 or even 30 different folders. You need to group them into 5 or 6, to be helpful.
Please, help out all the readers, by not creating so many short discussions, and putting them in a group.

Also, to remain in a slightly critical mood: I think CoHOP is ready to move on from motivational 'why' we need to change, discussions.
Your title, using the word 'principles' as opposed to the more appropriate because more limited "raisons d'etre' (pardon my French, beautiful succinct expression for the reasons of being in existence) suggests that it gives information about how CoHOP will work. Not only why we need to do it.
Let me be constructive, by, here, suggesting some 'how':
- By using alternative, non-interest motivated, finance, more people are able to live debt free, to save up and participate in ownership.
- By pursuing cooperative living models and ownership models, we can:
- re-grow connectedness between people
- save 30-50% on cost of housing (see some of our scenarios)
- create living conditions that accommodate and motivate green living, for a long-term healthy future of the earth and its people and nature.
