The First 100

R Rory (FSA) Public Seen by 94

The FairShares Rules Generator has now been used by 100 different people (distinct email addresses).

https://fairsharesrules.org

I attach a breakdown from data exported from the Rules Generators - the table shows what types of FairShares enterprise are being trialled and/or drafted in different regions/countries.

The geographical reach of our ideas is growing (and interesting in its own right).

Thanks! That's great progress.

@roryfsa do you also have a list of the companies/people?

I'm sure he does, but that would be confidential?

Jeff - yes, but Graham is right that we should be careful about giving out such details without prior agreement. Whilst they do sign a 'Creative Commons' agreement to share the outputs they produce from use of the Rules Generator, this is not the same as giving permission to share details of entities themselves.

Curious as to why 'England' is listed rather than 'UK'.

Yes, I live in Wales, albeit I am English or is it Brit-ish? Or half Irish maybe? To hell with identity politics

Graham - people self-describe the territory covered, and the laws are different for entities in Northern Ireland (and also in some cases, Scotland). There are different regulatory regimes in Scotland and Wales for the provision of social enterprise support as well. My Welsh and Scottish colleagues constantly remind me that we should not conflate England with the rest of the UK. I chose to separate home countries (Northern Ireland is listed - so far as I can tell, nobody in Scotland or Wales has used the Rules Generator yet).

Further to yesterday's analysis of Rules Generator Use, I now attach a map of the membership of FairShares Association Ltd and SEi (FairShares) Ltd. The latter will close shortly (as the project it sought to serve will not go ahead). Most members are also members of the FairShares Association - the story the map tells remains valid even after SEi (FairShares) Ltd closes.

Of the 192 people in this Loomio group, 62 applied successfully for membership of FairShares Association Ltd. Access to further information on the map is restricted to association members (through the General Meeting sub-group).
