Extra Resources for Founder Token Holders

S sfeos Public Seen by 318

It is planned that Founder Token holders will receive a percent of the "fees" paid at ports. Those fees are paid by players who do bulk refining and production. Anyone have any brainstorming ideas about this?

The Founder Token holders should have to pick up the resources from the port that collected them. This will make for some interesting gameplay. Yeah, they own them, but they don't control them until they either pick them up or have them picked up by someone else.

For clarity ... Lets say I mine 10k Silver Ore ... So I can't Forge Ore into Silver bars on my ship ? or will there be a limit ? So .. I have to go to a Port to Forge (Refine) Ore into bars .. Pay a Fee to do so ... next step .. either use the bars to craft an Item (better Mining Pick or Upgrade my Mining machine (Tool) .. or sell Ore OR Silver Bars to port OR other Players (That are there atm) OR Local Auction house or Port Store .. Next Q: If sold to Port Store, will these items be listed (Linked) to Other Port Stores or Auction Houses .. lol .... When these questions are answered, i believe we can discuss Founder Tokens ..... What a can of worms you have opened my friend !! Love IT !!!!! just some thoughts ...

OK - Let me try to answer. You can refine and/or produce on your ship in a limited capacity per turn or you can go to a port and refine and/or produce in bulk for one action plus an excess of the resources.

Ports will have their own markets. So resources will be turned into ResourceName_PortId. Those are on a system exchange and you can buy/sell them on an open exchange BUT you cannot turn them back into normal ResourceName without going to the port or having someone go for you with a key to unlock them.

Ok ..as an added income for Ports (Fees) might include a Port to Port shipping option at Hi cost fees and time delay ... and +1 action ... just a thought .. perhaps down the road ..

I'll start another thread on ports. But i want to stay away from non-player driven economy stuff as much as possible. So if rather have players start companies that will make deliveries and such. Building shipping lanes and everything. Protecting... all kinds of stuff. As long as the gameplay is fun and it's not work.
