We've been debating over a few design and strategy decisions with ChangeTheFuture. Let's see how useful Loomio is for helping us develop the discussions, reach good clear proposals and achieve consensus on them.

I propose when we want to have a CTF meeting, we advertise it at least a week in advance on our FB group (saying we'll post the link to watch it live and you can write comments to us as we steam) we should mention that anyone is welcome to join as a full video call participant but places are limited by Google hangout which is what we'll be using unless someone suggests something better.

Daniel Harris didn't know we were having a meeting and when he found out, he didn't know how to join

We should try and make people aware a week in advance, but not just limit to mentioning on facebook!
A better system than google hangouts would be good. Perhaps Jitsi, Skype or another WebRTC browser based system, though hangouts does do the job.

I agree that a week in advance is great, especially not being limited to discussing it on FB. Where should we discuss it? Maybe in just one location so that people don't get fragmented pieces of a schedule, consolidate the chat. Loomio?

I feel the title and initial decision here do not match too well? perhaps the discussion title should be "How should we organise the CTF team?"

I both like and dislike the exact method loomio uses to relate discussion<->decisions. It seems we can only have one vote at a time in each discussion...

Wish I could reply to particular comments of yours Alex! I want to reply to your one about only being able to have Proposal active per discussion, which does seem a bit pants. I guess you would create shit tons of new discussions about heaps of simultaneous things. Feel free to change title!

One way to let people know is to set up a Hangout event and invite them to that. And then just duplicate every week.

A mailing list perhaps would be a good thing... someone was mentioning google groups the other day too.
