Really keen to get a garden growing at my local hospital and I've got interest from the well-being group, estates, Friends and a bunch of junior doctors. But...I was feeling a bit daunted about the whole Forest Garden/Permaculture thing and not sure if I had the knowledge of skills to pull it off.

However, after last weeks seminar I'm feeling a more confident on the gardening front...looks like I’ve been gardening in a way akin to Forest gardening for years intuitively. Basically, copying the way things are growing together in nature locally and just recreating that in my garden. (Including stealing plants growing next to the river and from local hedgerows etc I know it’s illegal) Not quite as ‘Planned and designed’ as a Forest garden, but the end result is not a million miles away and I’ve acquired a lot of plant knowledge tacitly in the process.

I've attached a picture of a patch of our garden next to an apple tree. A whole hotch potch of wild and cultivated flowers and more edible within it than I had realised! It would be lovely to see some pictures of other gardens to help share ideas and experiences.
