Loomio 2.0 beta release

RG Robert Guthrie Public Seen by 119

Hello friends and supporters of Loomio!

I'm really pleased to say that we're at a stage of development of Loomio 2.0 that public beta testing would be helpful.

There's another month or 2 of development to go before we're ready to make a general release, however it's good enough to be used regularly by people prepared to report bugs when they happen, and those just wanting to take a peek.

If you'd like to try Loomio 2.0 (and to turn it off again) use this link:

Thank you!

I seem to usually have to manually click 'Latest' to get down to the bottom of threads the last few days, rather than jumping there immediately when there's unread content.

I see quite a few big grey boxes with numbers in them as I scroll around threads

Yah, I'm hesitant to implement "Jump to unread" as before as it felt so janky. I'm undecided between a banner (like the one that is still to come for active proposals) which offers to take you there, and just jumping you there.

Just checking this out now, won't have a chance to utilise properly until September for looking like a big improvement feature wise. Congrats on the work so far!

@Robert Guthrie can you please include some instructions in the Context Box of this thread for turning off the beta and going back to the Loomio 1.0 UI?

FYI when I click the link currently in the context box it takes me to a (sub) group called "Loomio 2.0 beta release"

Would it be useful to have a subgroup for reporting issues on Design/Layout? I have for example some font and colour remarks. Thanks for pointing me to the right thread.
