One of the possible mechanisms for managing any fund could be the participatory budgetting tool CoBudget created by Enspiral. This allows contributors to apportion funds between different calls on the fund.

I've registered for a beta account for this group.

@graham2 and I are scheduled to have a call with Francesca Pick (https://www.francescapick.com/) next Thursday to chat about how cobudget might work for our platform.

My first question will be "Is cobudget merely a way to allocate funds in buckets requiring a lot of admin behind the scenes, or can it handle the whole process from accepting payment to disbursing funds?"

What else should we be asking?

I'd be interested in what the plans are in terms of the future roadmap for CoBudget (it's been in this beta stage for a long time), and also whether there is scope to integrate the CoBudget tech into another web application via an API or similar.

certainly some plans to integrate with other apps too, see e.g. https://github.com/cobudget/cobudget/issues/93
