Thread for discussing spiritual doctrine poll

Do you agree/resonate with the statements made in this poll?

"-Do no unnecessary Harm; for all of Life is Sacred.

Place no Blame, for all of Life is Perfect.

Take no Credit, for your Life is a Gift.

I believe in divine will. The concept of a conscious and immeasurable presence that exists seemingly on the outskirts of our awareness.

I believe in divine fate. The concept that this abovementioned presence guides the flow of a story, that all of life is a part of.

I believe in divine benevolent freedom. The concept that this abovementioned presence chooses to listen to our individual will's when creating our collective story of this planet earth.

I believe in divine service. The concept that i will accomplish exponentially more while experiencing exponentially more of what i want in my life in service to the presence that guides the world in which i live."

I am coming to realize..... that without understanding these concepts and choosing to believe in them... the full depth and capacity of the EN DAO systems will not make sense or function correctly.

This.... is a very tricky subject..... We cannot become a religion... and simply being too spiritual may give us the appearance of being one..... Which is why i havn't brought up such matters until now.

However.... it has become clear, beyond any doubt to me, that if we do not have some form of shared spiritual story.... We will be lacking something fundamental.

So i'm making a poll. How can we as briefly as possible summarize in a non dogmatic way whats truly important to all of us (or at least 90%)?

Some of it

This exactly what the work of Desteni group is - to unify spiritual terminology without becoming a religion. And the less time you will ignore it and have resistance to it, the better for everyone.

Most of it.

My spiritual beliefs, practices and the principles I live by are highly important to me and yet I know they are my own. How we communicate and interpret the unseen/unknown is a process of personal Discovery and experience yet I agree fundamental.

Most of it.

even if I am 100% with the words & concepts here
I believe we'd focus on the minimum necessary to have a cohesion with the whole EarthNation
we don need to unify our spiritual principle we need to acknowledge one another's different belief systems

I very much wish to discover.... how to summarize the core root of all religious/spiritual principles/disciplines into as few non-dogmatic words/characters as possible.

While I personally can resonate with the way most of this is stated, I can see how some wonderful intelligent heart-centered people may not. I know some pretty excellent atheists I wouldnt be against collaborating with. In StarTribe we call these core values, you can check out how we've phrased them at www.startribealliance.org. I don't resonate with the word doctrine. I also want to know what divine is defined by if that is the term used. It's a good start to a necessary step.

For those that do not agree.... please recreate your version of this statement.

@alexiskegel i think atheism inherently creates a sense of hopeless despair, and i have found all atheist friends in my life to be bitter on some level. I actually do not think the EN is a place for those that choose to believe in nothingness and complete chaos.

At least, not at our core. I think atheists should form their own fractal DAO and to connect it to ours.

I know its very important we agree upon a shared spiritual story.... if you do not want to agree to what i have suggested... please suggest your own.

I have not had the same experience of atheists as you. Ive found just as many bitter and chaotic people who believe in spirit or god or whatever else. Most atheists i know are scientific which certainly does not imply nothingness and chaos. Im not sure how to go about being undogmatic if you have decided to exclude collaborating w/ those who do not require a belief in higher powers to be good earth stewards. I am traveling cross country right now, so I can only type on my phone. Wish i could be more eloquent in the moment. I did share the link to our startribe core values. I cant right now rewrite a statement, but just want to reiterate that I believe it is more important to share core values than any particular spiritual belief. That is one approach that can help dissolve dogma or ostracization.

I write about this in my book. Having a shared story is EXTREMELY important. Without a new story, there is nothing for people to connect with. Here are a few exerts from my book. I have more about this if people want to read more!

Creating a New Story

The story of a civilization is like a great river. The old civilization's story is leading humanity and the planet toward a giant waterfall. Even if humanity were to change our social systems, without changing the underlying story, our river would continue to flow toward disaster because the memes powering the river are not sustainable. So long as humanity has a dysfunctional and ego based relationship with ourselves and the rest of life, we will continue to act as a cancer, destroying life everywhere we go.
To avert disaster, we need more than just a new system, we need a new story. A story which places humanity in a very different role than the old story. Exactly what this story will look like is hard to say. It isn't one of those things we can't force. It has to emerge naturally - and it already is.
Something amazing happened 250 years ago - a new country was born with a new story. The birth of America brought about a new chapter in the story of humanity. This new story I call the 'Guardians of Profit' inspired humanity to believe in themselves, to rise up and demand more rights, and that with hard work, anything could be accomplished. Monarchies around the world began falling one after another, replaced with democracies. People were able to rise out of their social class with much more ease. America inspired the world with a new story. Now, that story has run amok. No story is ever going to last forever. It serves a purpose for a time, then things change. But we can learn a lot from the example America set.
Like today, before the founding of America, there was a lot of inequality, hopelessness, and discontent among the people of the colonies and the world. People were struggling and grew tired of the way things were being done. Following the example of America, we are going to create a new system, based on a new story. We are going to give people hope again.
The exact story isn't something we can force. We cannot say, "This is our new story, friends. Believe it!" That would never work and is generally silly. The new story will emerge from a shared vision and shared goals. One of the many reasons the old civilization is floundering is because it doesn't have a clear vision or goals for the future. If you ask any Joe or Sally on the street where the old civilization is heading, they won't know! Many may say a dystopian future because it is seen in so many movies. There isn't a clear, positive goal for the future of the old system. It's just a bunch of ego run politicians arguing over mainly irrelevant issues who have the common folk arguing among themselves for their own political gain.
Corporations and productive individuals set goals and have a vision for where they want to go in life. Goals and vision help us move in a positive direction. An organization without goals and a vision, goes nowhere. We will always move in the direction of what we focus on. Always. Since the old system has no goals or vision, it is stuck going nowhere. This is a huge opportunity for us. Because this movement is based in the heart, the goals and vision for it come naturally. Once one embraces their heart over the ego, most naturally become aligned to the new vision. If not exactly, pretty damn close.
One of the most beautiful aspects of this vision is it allows all of humanity to focus on what we have in common. Times are really confusing right now. There is so much misinformation, deceit, political positioning, and biased media. People feel so polarized. We've been arguing over foggy details, but in truth, most of what we want is the same. With that said, let’s look at some of the new vision which is naturally emerging:
• A peaceful world to raise our children in.
• Respecting each other's right to live as we choose. This is what the word 'freedom' means. As popular internet memes are putting it, "Let the gays get married. Let the rednecks have guns. Let the atheists be atheists, and the Christians be Christians. It's about freedom. Freedom to live how you please and be happy with your life. So, smoke a bowl, shoot your guns, cuss a lot, praise Jesus, and wish those two fellas next door a happy honeymoon."
• Desire for an economic model that properly rewards hard work.
• A clean environment, sustainable for our children and grandchildren. Shifting major resources and labor towards correcting environmental damage.
• Higher quality of life for all of humanity.
• Collaboration. Instead of focusing so much on competition (which we can still have if people want it), society will focus on more collaborative approaches. We will work together to create amazing tools and resources without the needless waste of the old system.
• Understanding crime and addiction are effects of a broken society. To change these behaviors, we need to help people feel part of a community.
• Community, community, community! People have become so disconnected from each other. Humans are a tribal species and need social interaction to feel complete. New cities will be designed to facilitate a lot more social interaction.
• Healthy food. The old system's food is better classified as 'food stuff.' The new system will focus on growing the highest quality foods to improve the health of all. With better food, we'll have less obesity and medical issues.
• Helping each person reach their highest potential. Custom tailoring educations for every child. And every adult who has a desire to learn, for that matter. By helping others reach their potential, everyone benefits.
While there is much more, this is a good starting list. With time, a shared vision will naturally develop into a shared story.

Prism's Idea for a Story:

For a long time, humanity lived much the same way as other animals. We lived off the land and in harmony with nature. As human intelligence and society evolved, eventually humans began to seek more. Humanity's consciousness shifted, creating an era of great strife and technological advancement. In this old system, most humans lost their connection with nature and each other. They conquered the Earth and each other. This domination game brought our species to the edge of destruction... then something amazing happened.
At the edge of destruction, humanity began to awaken to a new understanding of themselves and their relationship with the rest of the universe. We realized our interconnectedness with each other and all of life. From this realization grew a new way of life on our beautiful planet and we redesigned the world to help all people reach their highest potential. We learned to respect our differences. Humanity worked together to heal the environment and the psyches of those damaged by the old system.
Now, our potential as humans is limited only by our imaginations. We look within to find our passions and gifts, and from there we embrace our roles as powerful creators, fully respecting the sovereignty of others. Now, we work together to help each other accomplish our goals. We look toward the stars, excited about what we may find. By working together, nothing is out of our reach. We are the Guardians of Life.
